Mobi-tyre - Puncture Repair
Repairing a punctured tyre can be more cost effective than replacing it.
However, not all tyres can be repaired. Tyre repairs are covered under British Standard BSAU159e. This standard sets out what kind of tyre damage can be repaired.
A tyre should not be repaired if it has:
- An illegal tread depth (the minimum tread depth is 1.6mm)
- Run flat damage
- An ageing or deteriorated tyre rubber
- Bead or liner damage
- Exposed cords
- Faulty or poor previous repairs
At Mobi-tyre all our staff are trained to ensure your repair is carried out to BSAU159e.
