The River Severn loops around the town, offering pleasant scenary for gentle walks, or if you just want to take it all in and relax there's a pleasure boat rides around the town too. Internationally heralded for it's Flower Show it has often been dubbed the Town of Flowers, and at it's heart is the Quarry Park.
The town's most famous ex-resident Charles Darwin gives his name to the towns main shopping centre. The town has a wealth of boutiques, cafes, bars and often hosts international street performers and markets in it's square.
